Theater doesn’t belong only on a stage—it belongs in the community. Our Summer Performance Intensive brings together a troupe-style cohort of young performers to take their work out into the world, performing at locations in and around Village Theatre. It’s a chance to give back, connect with audiences, and maybe just inspire the next generation of theater lovers along the way.
Much like our advanced training program, Village Theatre Institute, our Summer Performance Intensive students will:
- Cultivate a unique artistic voice.
- Create friendships and a strong community of belonging.
- Learn from and connect with professionals in the industry.
- Expand performance skills and increase confidence.
- Develop skills for future career opportunities: collaboration, cultural competency, self-advocacy, public speaking, empathy, and community-building.
- Create community performances in a fast-paced rehearsal environment.
2026 SPI performances will take place at various venues throughout the Issaquah community as well as on the Hunt Family Theatre stage.
