Q: I need audition help! Where can I find resources or tips and tricks on auditioning?
A: KIDSTAGE has prepared an Auditions Basics and Resources page. Here you can find recommended songs and monologues, accompaniment tracks to help you practice your audition, help on how to create a successful video audition, and more. Q: Can I audition for more than one program?
A: Yes! You can audition for all KIDSTAGE Productions/Programs if you choose, as long as you fit the correct age range. Please make sure to double-check the location and schedule of each program.
Q: Do I need sheet music for my audition?
A: Yes! KIDSTAGE auditions are modeled after industry standards, which includes having a live Piano Accompanist. To prepare sheet music for your Accompanist, mark the “start” and “stop” of your audition cut and put music in a binder. Please make sure your sheet music includes the piano accompaniment line (not just the vocal line). If you don’t know where to find sheet music that includes an accompaniment line, we always recommend MusicNotes.com. Or email your KIDSTAGE Production Manager and we can help you out!
Q: I am unable to attend any in-person auditions. Can I still audition?
A: Yes! You can submit a video audition self-tape package of your song and monologue to KIDSTAGE. For more information on how to submit your self-tape and the submission timeline, reach out to the KIDSTAGE Production Office:

Q: How will I know if I receive a callback or casting offer?
A: Information about callback and casting offers will be posted to the KIDSTAGE Productions Callback and Casting website (link provided at auditions). Refer to that site throughout the audition process for casting-related information.
Q: If I don’t get cast, are there other opportunities to participate in KIDSTAGE Productions?
A: Yes! If you aren’t offered a cast role, do not worry! We have several opportunities to participate that are not onstage. There are positions available on the backstage crew, running lights, even as a musician in the pit. Email your KIDSTAGE Production Manager for more details about these opportunities!
