Make a gift of support to Village Theatre that is spread out over the year.

Additional benefits to participating in the Sustainable Giving Program:

• Set it and forget it. Set up a recurring donation once and there’s no need to think about it again. Besides, who really needs all those reminder emails throughout the year, right
• Reach the Donor Benefits Level of your choice with manageable recurring donations throughout the year. Donor benefits levels for the 2025-2026 Mainstage season are determined by the accumulative donations received between September 1, 2024 and August 31, 2025.
• Once a year Sustainable Giving Program participants will receive a small gift in addition to their donor benefits. Your gift will be provided in September, the beginning of our fiscal year.
• Sustainable Giving provides a reliable source funding for Village Theatre.

Please note: Credit cards must be updated upon expiration for recurring donations to continue. Patrons should contact Village Theatre to stop recurring donations.

Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday is an annual global celebration and day of giving in support of nonprofits. Held on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, donors around the world come together to donate to nonprofits, kicking off the season of giving (back!). GiveBIG

Fred Meyer Community Rewards

• Sign up for the Community Rewards program by linking your Fred Meyer Rewards Card to Village Theatre. You can search for us by our name or by our non-profit number, PW076.
• Then, every time you shop and use your Rewards Card, you are helping Village Theatre earn a donation!
• If you do not have a Rewards Card, they are available at the Customer Service desk of any Fred Meyer store.

Make your gift go twice as far!

Transferring Stock Electronically is Easy!

1. Contact your broker. Have your broker transfer stock to Village Theatre’s Fidelity Investments

2. Contact us! Once you’ve made the decision to transfer stock to the Theatre, we ask that you contact the Theatre’s Development Office by email at giving@villagetheatre.org or by phone at (425) 392-1942 x116 to inform us that you have authorized a stock transfer. This step is very important. Unless we know that the transfer is occurring, we have no way to match your donation with the stock. So, please contact us when you make the transfer.
3. Enjoy your donor benefits! We will mail your receipt letter as soon as we receive the stock transfer. In the meantime, browse your donor benefits.

Required minimum distributions (RMDs) are the minimum amounts you must withdraw from your retirement accounts each year. You generally must start taking withdrawals from your traditional IRA, SEP IRA, SIMPLE IRA, and retirement plan accounts when you reach age 72 (73 if you reach age 72 after Dec. 31, 2022).

The RMD rules apply to all employer-sponsored retirement plans (including profit-sharing plans, 401(k) plans, 403(b) plans, and 457(b) plans). Roth 401(k) accounts are exempt from the RDM rules as long as the owner is alive.

If you have an RMD on your own account or an inherited account and you do not need the funds, donating to charity is a great option. Your required withdrawal will be included in your taxable income and cannot be rolled into other tax-deferred accounts. However, donating your RMD is a qualified charitable distribution (QCD). Tax benefits aside, earmarking this income for charity is a great way to begin or expand your giving portfolio to support the causes you care about.
