Summer Independent ProductionHadestown: Teen Edition (Grade 9-Age 19) 

What if students ran the whole show? They do. The Summer Independent Production is a mentorship program unique to Village Theatre, putting students in charge of every aspect of production—performing, directing, stage managing, designing and building sets, creating costumes, running sound and lights, and more. Oh, and did we mention? SIP is completely tuition-free.

Summer Performance Intensive (Grade 7-Age 20)    

Theater doesn’t belong only on a stage—it belongs in the community. Our Summer Performance Intensive brings together a troupe-style cohort of young performers to take their work out into the world, performing at locations in and around Village Theatre. It’s a chance to give back, connect with audiences, and maybe just inspire the next generation of theater lovers along the way.

  • Performances: July 10, 15, 17, 22-24, 29-31; August 3 (times TBD)

Village Theatre Institute Advanced Training Program (Grade 5-Age 20)  

Village Theatre Institute is a school-year training program for students passionate about musical theater and interested in deepening their artistic skills in a supportive, professional environment. Students train with industry professionals while building the performance, storytelling, and collaboration skills needed for auditions, productions, and future opportunities in the arts.  

  • Auditions: May 10-12, 2026  
  • Callbacks: May 23, 2026 
  • Classes: September 2026—May 2027

SummerStock ProductionAnastasia: The Musical (Grade 5-Age 20)  

SummerStock brings together passionate young performers, grades 5-age 20, to star in a professionally directed and designed musical on the Village Theatre Mainstage. With a live orchestra, stunning production elements, and hands-on technical theater opportunities, it’s the ultimate summer experience for aspiring theater artists.

Technical Theater Program (TTP)

Ever wonder what happens in the wings? The Technical Theater Program offers students immersive, hands-on training across a wide range of theater disciplines—from direction and design to stage management and beyond. Working alongside seasoned professionals, TTP students don’t just learn vocational skills; they put them to work on actual productions. It’s mentorship with real stakes and real results.
