Donors Step Up to Keep Village Theatre Moving

For each show, Village Theatre relies on a full-size cargo van to transport our props, set pieces, and costumes. Through the generosity of Foushée (the corporate sponsor of Village Theatre’s first cargo van), Village Theatre drove its beloved cargo van for almost ten years, logging over 100,000 miles. After maintenance for the van became more than its value, we knew it was time for some new wheels.

In every good musical you need a hero, and when Village Theatre needed to find a gently used cargo van, donors Margie & Wayne Pietz and Kim & Perry Clarke came to our rescue. As generous supporters of Village Theatre, these incredible donors always look for ways to invest in Village Theatre above and beyond their yearly gifts.

“They see a need and they find ways to help!” says Individual and Corporate Giving Manager, Megan Adams. “Whether it’s purchasing additional Village Theatre tickets for friends and family, volunteering to decorate our lobby for the holidays, stuffing envelopes, and now helping with the purchase of our van. Their thoughtful generosity benefits everyone that loves Village Theatre.”

As we bring our Mainstage back to life, our new van is keeping busy, moving one-of-a-kind props and costumes to and from our technical pavilion and stage, and back and forth between Issaquah and Everett. Our Technical Staff is grateful for the new ride and thankful to Margie & Wayne Pietz and Kim & Perry Clarke for going beyond their annual contribution to invest in Village Theatre at a deeper level and keep us moving for the long haul.

*Special thank you to Rachel Bennick, VT Props Manager, and Andre Burman, Assistant Technical Director, for finding our van and to First National Fleet & Lease for giving us a great deal!
