GIVE MORE THAN YOU EVER THOUGHT YOU COULD WITH A SIMPLE CHANGE TO YOUR BENEFICIARY FORM

Life insurance policies and retirement plans are common financial planning tools that offer comfort during life and provide for loved ones upon your passing, and make wonderful legacy gifts because they are easy to arrange. It is not uncommon for beneficiary designation forms to change several times throughout life to reflect your current relationships and financial goals. Often these changes can be made online or over the phone at no cost to you.

Including Village Theatre as a beneficiary is a wonderful way to support the performances and programs you love and may come with tax benefits. For example, gifts made to charity through your IRA are distributed outside of your will and are not subject to estate or income tax (see below example illustration.)

A bequest is a gift made to charity through your will or trust. As with gifts made directly through a beneficiary designation form, a bequest also remains under your control during life. The wording of your bequest depends on the type of gift you want to leave – a percentage of your residual estate, a specific dollar amount, or a particular asset – we welcome your creativity!
