CHARACTER LIST

The Lonesome Writer

Awkward writer N. Parable’s life is mundane and lonely until a once-in-a-lifetime promotion is handed to him on a silver platter, and he gets the chance to experience real human connection for the first time.

When the company’s new artificial intelligence A.B.E.L. is assigned to help the writing department with their work, Parable’s dreams of sharing his perfect story with the world start to slip from his grasp. It’s a heartfelt story about the essence of perfection, relationships, and learning to let go.

What is a Stage Reading?

The first presentation of a new work is typically done as a reading. These two one act musicals will be part of a stage reading, where actors perform the show holding scripts and with minimal design elements, staging, or choreography. The show is not memorized, and new pages and script/music changes can be made up to opening night.
