Village Theatre Announces 2026-2027 Season

Modern Blockbusters, a Classic Murder-Mystery, and a World Premiere from the Pacific Northwest’s Leading Local Producer of Musical Theater

RAGTIME Come From Away And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie
Dear Evan Hansen LOVE IS DEAD A New Musical Comedy (World Premiere)

Artistic Director Adam Immerwahr and Managing Director Derek Watanabe unveil Village Theatre’s 2026–2027 Mainstage Season—an ambitious lineup of three acclaimed modern musicals, a heart-pounding mystery, and an original world‑premiere musical. As the Pacific Northwest’s foremost local producer of musical theatre, Village Theatre brings audiences in Issaquah and Everett bold storytelling and exceptional artistry, performed by some of the region’s top talent.

“Village Theatre’s next season celebrates the full sweep of what musical theater can be—grand, intimate, hilarious, heart‑rending, mysterious, and wildly imaginative,” says Artistic Director Adam Immerwahr.

The season opens with the epic musical RAGTIME, whose iconic Tony Award–winning score reflects both the hopes and dreams of America and the difficult realities of its history. We then fly to Gander, Newfoundland, for a new production of Come From Away, whose uplifting true story and soaring Celtic-inflected score have captivated audiences around the world. Then it’s time for murder with the queen of crime herself, Agatha Christie, in the bone-chilling play And Then There Were None.

Next comes one of the most exciting new musicals of the 21st century, Dear Evan Hansen, featuring a heart-stirring score by Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Award winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. The season closes with the world premiere of LOVE IS DEAD A New Musical Comedy—a darkly funny, delightfully offbeat rom‑com about a woman who falls for the extremely handsome ghost haunting her Airbnb.

The 2026–2027 season runs September 15, 2026–August 1, 2027. Five‑Show and Four‑Show subscription packages are on sale now starting at $201. Five-show packages include perks like No‑Hassle ticket exchanges, savings on additional single tickets for friends and family, and one complimentary Show Swap. The Marquee 5 Show Subscription offers premier perks including five “Free Theater Refills” (a second viewing of any show at no additional cost) and priority Concierge Support from the box office.

Additional programming from Village Theatre’s nationally respected Youth Education program and Village Theatre’s annual Festival of New Musicals will be announced in the coming months.

Welcome to the rock! This exuberant, Tony Award–winning musical has captivated audiences around the world with its astonishing true story of kindness in the face of crisis.

On September 11, 2001, nearly 7,000 airline passengers were unexpectedly diverted to the tiny town of Gander, Newfoundland. Overnight, strangers from across the globe found themselves stranded far from home—but the people of Gander answered uncertainty with compassion and generosity, opening their hearts, their homes, and even (and unforgettably!) their bar. As cultures collided and nerves frayed, this unlikely international sleepover transformed into a powerful celebration of connection and resilience.

Brimming with humor, heart, and a soaring Celtic-inflected score, Come From Away captures five unforgettable days when a small town showed the world what generosity means. It’s an uplifting celebration of compassion, resilience, and our ability to come together when it matters most—a story guaranteed to restore your faith in humanity.
