To audition, there are three steps:

1. REGISTER
2. SCHEDULE
3. PREPARE

1. Please click the link below to REGISTER. This is where you’ll provide actor info, a photo/headshot, a resume/performance experience, casting preferences, etc. Please register as early as possible, so KIDSTAGE can determine the number of students planning to audition for each program.

2. Next, please SCHEDULE your audition appointment. Choose the date and time that works best for you! PLEASE MAKE SURE TO REGISTER BEFORE SCHEDULING YOUR AUDITION. To SCHEDULE your audition, click the corresponding link.

3. After registration and scheduling are complete, please PREPARE the following materials for your audition:

• One audition monologue (one minute or less in length).
• One audition song (60-90 seconds of music, about 16-32 bars). The song can either be from musical theater or popular music. Please select something that best shows off your voice and range.
  • Auditions are performed with an in person Piano Accompanist. You will need to bring piano-vocal sheet music for the Accompanist, preferably in a binder or folder for easy playing.

Callbacks for Mean Girls will take place in person on September 21 from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Francis J. Gaudette Theatre, and September 22 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. at the Hunt Family Theatre.

The Winter Production is geared toward more experienced performers, with an age range dependent on the show or project selected. The intensive rehearsal process may include character development, learning choreography and staging, and strengthening the vocal instrument. The result of this program is a fully produced show. The Winter Production rehearses in late fall and performs in December. There is a tuition fee to participate. Rehearsals are four to six weeks, the show runs for two to three weekends, and is professionally designed and directed. The emphasis is on the performer.
