Our Summer Productions give students the rare opportunity to do what professional theater artists do: collaborate, create, and bring a story to life for a live audience, building resilience, teamwork, and creative problem-solving along the way.
SUMMERSTOCK
Whether you’re in the spotlight or behind it, there’s nothing quite like opening night. KIDSTAGE shows are directed and designed by theater professionals—equal parts educational experience and genuine performance opportunity. The pinnacle is our SummerStock production, performed on our fully equipped professional mainstage. This year’s Summerstock production is Anastasia The Musical, on stage August 14-23, 2026, at the Everett Performing Arts Center.
SUMMER INDEPENDENT
What if students ran the whole show? They do. Our Summer Independent production is a mentorship program for advanced young artists, putting students in charge of every aspect—performing, directing, stage managing, designing, and more. This year’s Summer Independent production is Hadestown: Teen Edition, on stage July 17–August 2, 2026, at the Hunt Family Theatre in Issaquah.
SUMMER PERFORMANCE INTENSIVE
Theater belongs in the community. Summer Performance Intensive brings together a troupe-style cohort of young performers to take their work into the world, performing at locations in and around Village Theatre. This year’s Summer Performance Intensive will be held in Issaquah.
