Francis J. Gaudette Theatre

The Francis J. Gaudette Theatre opened its doors in November of 1994 and is the home to Village Theatre’s Mainstage programming in Issaquah. With just under 500 seats, this theatre is the ideal intimate environment for theatre performances, and there truly is not a bad seat in the house. The theatre also boasts family rooms where parties with small children may enjoy the show in a sound-proof booth, allowing for a stress-free environment for young children. This custom-built theatre boasts rehearsal rooms, shops, a fully-equipped fly system, large control booth, capacious dressing rooms, green room, offices, and state-of-the-art lighting and sound capabilities.

Everett Performing Arts Center

An outstanding venue for all occasions, the Everett Performing Arts Center is one of the premier rental spaces in Snohomish County for performing arts and special events. The Everett Performing Arts Center is owned and supported by the City of Everett as a service to the entire Everett community. In 1998, Village Theatre was contracted by the City of Everett to be the resident performing and management company. This building is home to Village Theatre’s Mainstage productions in Everett. In addition to presenting a season of high-quality theatre, the management and technical staff of Village Theatre are dedicated to making this space the best possible place for other community organizations that require a state-of-the-art venue for their events. Rental events include choral concerts, film festivals, ballet, receptions, seminars and business meetings. For more information on renting the Everett Performing Arts Center, please click here.

Hunt Family Theatre

Beginning June 2010, Village Theatre rebuilt Hunt Family Theatre (previously First Stage Theatre), originally constructed in 1913. The work has maintained the historical feel and façade, while incorporating state-of-the-art production equipment and modern patron amenities. Hunt Family Theatre is home to our KIDSTAGE and Village Originals programs. The new theatre has doubled the classroom space, incorporated a larger lobby, expanded restrooms, and added dressing rooms. The stage was expanded to incorporate wings for equipment, crew, and storage. A new telescoping 193-seat system was installed to provide for maximum flexibility, including cabaret productions, reception space, and special event occasions, as well as a traditional theatre environment. First Stage was renamed Hunt Family Theatre in October 2022, in recognition of Robb Hunt’s legacy with Village Theatre.

Cope Gillette Theatre

In partnership with the City of Everett, Village Theatre renovated and recently opened Cope Gillette Theatre, a former bank building next to the Everett Performing Arts Center. The building is the new home to our Youth Education program and hundreds of KIDSTAGE students, classes, rehearsals, workshops, and productions. The facility has been designed to provide for unique and lively entertainment possibilities. The intimate, flexible seating and performance space will provide options for up to 170 theatre seats or banquet style cabaret seating, offering a multiplicity of programming and entertainment opportunities to visitors and the residents of this community not possible in larger venues.

The Craig and Joan Watjen Technical Studios

Home to Village Theatre’s extraordinary artistic staff of carpenters, painters, and properties artisans, the Craig and Joan Watjen Technical Studios is the space where all the Village Theatre’s shows are constructed. This fantastic building measures 14,500 square feet and is conveniently located only 1 ½ blocks from the Francis J. Gaudette Theatre. The ground floor houses scenic construction and paint shops in three adjoining spaces (3,500 sq. ft. each) and the 4,000 sq. ft. mezzanine houses a prop shop and offices for technical staff. Thanks to this space, Village Theatre shows are able to reach new levels of production quality excellence. As the largest fully-producing theatre in the Pacific Northwest, every set piece, prop, and costume seen on Village Theatre’s stage is custom built and crafted to suit the vision of the artistic team, making each show a unique experience, in a class all it’s own.
