Everett: November 4 – 20, 2022
Welcome to Krisis Kids Wilderness Adventure Camp, the only outdoor survival experience designed to prepare teens for climate catastrophe. Why be scared when you can be prepared? Ten campers are ready for an adventure of a lifetime, but things quickly spiral when they find themselves separated on the very first night. A special collaboration between our KIDSTAGE and Village Originals programs, this new, commissioned musical proves that surviving adolescence is its own adventure.
Little Shop of Horrors
Issaquah: September 14 – October 23, 2022
Everett: October 28 – November 20, 2022
Based on the popular 1960 b-horror movie by Roger Corman and from the writing team who brought us Disney’s animation blockbusters The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin, Little Shop of Horrors is an uproarious rock musical dark comedy following the misadventures of a lowly floral shop keep who discovers an alien man-eating plant that carries ambitions to destroy the world as we know it. Blending sounds of rock and Motown with a sharp social critique of capitalism and corporate greed, Little Shop of Horrors is considered one of the funniest and well-constructed musical comedies of all time.
Rodgers & Hammerstein’sCinderella
Issaquah: November 16 – December 21, 2022
Everett: January 6 – January 29, 2023
A bona fide fairy tale, told with the Rodgers & Hammerstein hallmarks of grace, originality, charm and elegance. Village Theatre is thrilled to welcome back the pageantry and magic of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, last seen on our stage in 1985. This time around, we debut a version inspired from the 1997 television adaptation that featured Whitney Houston and Brandy, and add sumptuous songs you might remember from the other TV movie versions of this classic that starred Lesley Ann Warren and Julie Andrews, including “In My Own Little Corner,” “Do I Love You Because You’re Beautiful,” and “Impossible.” The show will feature a diverse cast, amazing gowns, and some real (and literal) Village Theatre magic in this wonderfully inspired telling of this timeless story perfect for the whole family!
