Show Synopsis
In this musical, a baker and his wife wish to have a child, but a terrible curse plagues them. They embark a journey in search of magical ingredients to break their curse: a cow as white as milk, a cape as red as blood, hair as yellow as corn, and a slipper as pure as gold. Along the way, they run into Little Red Riding Hood on her way to her grandmother’s house, Cinderella arriving home from the King’s festival, and Jack, who has just grown a giant beanstalk! These quirky fairy-tale characters learn the meaning of empathy and perseverance as they pursue their hopes and dreams in a world that seems to have the odds stacked against them.
Music by the brilliant Stephen Sondheim will transport you into the world of these classic Brothers Grimm fables fairytales. Into the Woods Jr. showcases our talented KIDSTAGE cast as these classic characters searching for a “happily ever after.”

From Sade Aset, Director:
Into the Woods feels like the perfect show to direct during the return of live theatre! Over the course of the pandemic, I have rediscovered my love for fantasy. I recently got into Dungeons and Dragons, and it’s been nurturing and indulging in my imagination in ways that I am excited to carry back into theatre. With several iconic fairy tales woven with melodies that spark mischief and magic, this show is bound to be a spectacle full of fun characters, spooky scenery, and greens, greens, so many greens!
