The Partnerships that Sustain Village Theatre

The Company of Ragtime (Nikki Womac, 2026)

When people think about Village Theatre, they often think about what happens onstage: memorable performances, talented artists, beloved musicals, and the shared experience of live theater. What is less visible, but just as important, are the partnerships that help make that work possible. Our sponsors, foundation funders, government partners, and in-kind supporters are an essential part of the Village Theatre story. Their investment strengthens not only our stage, but every aspect of our mission.

As a nonprofit theatre, Village Theatre relies on a combination of earned and contributed revenue to bring our work to life. The support of institutional partners helps us do more than produce outstanding musicals. It allows us to invest in the development of new works, provide meaningful arts education opportunities for young people, and ensure that theater remains accessible and relevant for our community.

We are especially grateful for the organizations that have chosen to stand beside Village Theatre year after year. Long-term partnerships provide more than funding. They create stability, encourage innovation, and allow us to plan boldly for the future. When a company or foundation renews its support season after season, it sends a powerful message that the arts are worth investing in and that community matters.

Among those long-time champions are Microsoft, Boeing, ArtsFund, and Lombardi’s Italian Restaurants. Their support has played a vital role in helping Village Theatre grow, adapt, and continue serving audiences throughout the region. Each organization contributes in its own way, but together they reflect a shared belief in the value of arts, education, and community.

What makes these partnerships particularly meaningful is the breadth of their impact. A sponsorship at Village Theatre doesn’t simply underwrite a performance. It helps a young person discover confidence through a KIDSTAGE class. It supports the artists, musicians, technicians, and educators whose work inspires audiences every day. It helps bring new musicals to life through Village Originals, contributing to the future of the American musical theater canon. And it ensures that families throughout our community can continue to gather, connect, and experience the joy of live theater together.

At a time when so many organizations are competing for attention and resources, we do not take these partnerships for granted. We are continually inspired by the businesses and foundations that recognize the role the arts play in creating vibrant communities, strengthening education, supporting local economies, and bringing people together across generations.
