Looser, Funnier, Wilder: Village Theatre Presents

New performances added to 2026-2027 Calendar General public tickets on sale September 9

Announcing Village Theatre Presents, a new series that opens our stages to entertainment the theatre did not create but could not resist bringing in – most of it skewing delightfully “adult.” The inaugural lineup features comedy, cabaret, and more from around the Puget Sound and beyond, presented for limited engagements in Issaquah and Everett.

In its subscription season, Village Theatre fills its stages with musicals and plays cast, directed, designed, and built in-house. Village Theatre Presents offers something different: visiting artists and companies, lighter-on-spectacle productions, and performances built around the talent in the room. Audiences can expect fresh energy, plenty of humor, and a genuinely great night out.

Village Theatre Presents events are single-ticket-only and are not included in Mainstage subscriptions. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, August 26, for Village Theatre subscribers and donors, and Wednesday, September 9, for the general public, at VillageTheatre.org and through the Village Theatre box office.

“We’re thrilled to bring a brand-new wing of programming to Village,” said Artistic Director Adam Immerwahr. “Now our fans have even more shows to see—especially at our venues in Everett, Washington. From drag “beautyshop quartets” with a holiday show so deliciously naughty it would make Santa blush (and he’s seen some things!), to a romantic Valentine’s Eve cabaret featuring beloved Seattle musical theater icons, Village Theatre Presents has something special for absolutely everyone.”

The inaugural Village Theatre Presents series lineup includes:

Titanish

Written by JEFF SCHELL and RYAN DOBOSH
Music and Lyrics by MARK SIANO and JOHN KRANZ
Directed by MARK SIANO

Everett Performing Arts Center · April 16-25, 2027

Seattle’s beloved sketch troupe The Habit takes the most melodramatic blockbuster of the ’90s and sends it straight to the bottom of the sea. Crashing onto the shores of Everett, this 2022 Broadway World Critic’s Choice winner for Best New Musical is a power-ballad-packed parody with rapid-fire jokes and one very famous iceberg. It’s 9 times funnier than the original, and a full 90 minutes shorter.

Please note: This is not the Celine Dion jukebox musical parody currently playing on Broadway. We’ll only make you sit through one Celine song.

An Improvised Musical!

Featuring the WE HAVE SOME NOTES ensemble

Cope Gillette Theatre, Everett  · October 9, 2026 and June 26, 2027
Hunt Family Theatre, Issaquah · February 5 and May 21, 2027

Welcome to the exclusive premiere of a musical co-created by you, with a new theme every show (monsters, love, history, angst). Give them a title, a suggestion, anything — then, with Broadway in their hearts and chaos in their hands, this ensemble and live band build a full-length musical from scratch, right there on the stage. No script. No plan. Every song, scene, and plot twist is invented in the moment — which means tonight’s show exists exactly once. Packed with hilarious characters, unforgettable songs, and all the energy of Broadway, it’s a one-of-a-kind musical theater experience you’ll never forget.

My Funny Valentine

Featuring BOBBI KOTULA and ERIC ANKRIM

Hunt Family Theatre, Issaquah · One-night-only cabaret · February 13, 2027

For one night only, the Hunt Family Theatre turns into the most romantic room on the Eastside. The evening unfolds in two acts, one performer at a time — each 45-minute set built from the musical theater songbook’s most romantic corners: the songs you know by heart, and a few you’ll wish you did. Cabaret, done the classic way: two performers, a few instruments, and a room small enough to feel every note.
