It’s the most fabulous show in town! America’s Favorite Beautyshop Quartet, Dragapella®!, make their long-awaited Everett debut. These chicks with schticks deliver one part laugh-out-loud drag comedy, one part festive holiday cheer, and one part razor-sharp cultural critique—all in glorious four-part harmony.
In Oy Vey in a Manger, the brilliant and flamboyant queens Angel, Winnie, Trixie, and Trampolina find themselves in a very modern crisis: They must sell their manger—yes, that manger—before it’s foreclosed. As the pressure mounts, secrets spill, Jewish-Gentile tensions flare, chaos reigns, and mayhem ensues…all in the service of a gloriously raunchy good time.
Oy Vey in a Manger features Dragapella!’s signature a cappella skewering of holiday classics, including “Anchor Baby,” “Lusty the Snowman,” the culinary classic “Soylent Night,” alongside wickedly funny Jewish satirical numbers like “Don’t Be Happy, Worry” and the soon-to-be seasonal favorite Chanukah spa anthem “I Had a Little Facial.”
Audience Note: Dragapella shows contain very adult language and themes, political commentary, and plenty of tongue-in-cheek sexual humor. This production contains references even Santa would find inappropriate — and he’s seen some things. Bring your teens or your mother-in-law at your own risk.
Running Time: The estimated run time for this production is 75 minutes (intermission TBD). Official run time will be determined the week of show’s opening.
