Village Theatre Presents - Village Theatre

Introducing Village Theatre Presents

Pull up a seat — we’ve got company

In our subscription season, we fill our stages with work we create ourselves: musicals and plays cast, directed, designed, and built in-house. Village Theatre Presents is something new — our chance to throw the doors open to entertainment we didn’t make, but couldn’t resist bringing in: the best comedy, cabaret, and beyond from around the Puget Sound and further afield, here for limited engagements.

Expect something different from our Mainstage — looser, funnier, and a little wilder, lighter on spectacle and built around the talent in the room. Most of it skews delightfully adult. All of it delivers what we look for in a VT Presents pick: joy, humor, and a genuinely great night out.

A Very Die Hard Christmas

Written by Jeff Schell and The Habit
Directed by Mark Siano

November 21-29, 2026
Everett Performing Arts Center
2710 Wetmore Ave, Everett, WA 98201

Yippee-Ki-Yay — it’s back! After last year’s sold-out run, The Habit returns with their outrageous spoof comedy that is sure to blow the roof off the joint. Perfect for those who like their holiday entertainment with lots of action, 80s jokes, soft rock jams, and villains sassier than your in-laws. It’s festive. It’s explosive. It’s one weekend only. And unlike fruitcake, it won’t last forever. So grab your tickets now, because nothing says Christmas cheer like Nerf guns, nefarious terrorists, and a barefoot hero in a duct vent.

Oy Vey in a Manger

DRAGAPELLA!® featuring THE KINSEY SICKS

December 16-20, 2026
Everett Performing Arts Center
2710 Wetmore Ave, Everett, WA 98201

It’s the most fabulous show in town! America’s Favorite Beautyshop Quartet, Dragapella! make their long-awaited Everett debut with this irreverent holiday smash. Four performers in glorious drag — and even more glorious four-part harmony — skewer the season with three decades’ worth of bawdy, brilliant wit. Naughty, never nice, and not-to-be-missed. (Recommended for adults.)

April 16-25, 2027
Everett Performing Arts Center
2710 Wetmore Ave, Everett, WA 98201

Seattle’s beloved sketch troupe, The Habit, takes the most melodramatic blockbuster of the ’90s and sends it straight to the bottom of the sea. Crashing onto the shores of Everett, this 2022 Broadway World Critic’s Choice winner for Best New Musical is a power-ballad-packed parody with rapid-fire jokes and one very famous iceberg. It’s 9 times funnier than the original, and a full 90 minutes shorter.

Please note: This is not the Celine Dion jukebox musical parody currently playing on Broadway. We’ll only make you sit through one Celine song.

An Improvised Musical!

Featuring the WE HAVE SOME NOTES ensemble

October 9, 2026 and June 26, 2027
Cope Gillette Theatre, Everett ·
2739 Wetmore Ave, Everett, WA 98201

February 5  and May 21, 2027
Hunt Family Theatre, Issaquah ·
120 Front St. N, Issaquah, WA 98027

Welcome to the exclusive premiere of a musical co-created by you and the We Have Some Notes ensemble. Give them a title, a suggestion, anything — with Broadway in their hearts and chaos in their hands, this ensemble and their live band build a full-length musical from scratch, right there on the stage.

No script. No plan. Every song, scene, and plot twist is invented in the moment — which means tonight’s show exists exactly once. Packed with hilarious characters, unforgettable songs, and all the energy of Broadway, it’s a one-of-a-kind musical theater experience you’ll never forget.

My Funny Valentine

Featuring BOBBI KOTULA and a mystery co-star!

One-night-only cabaret ·February 13, 2026
Hunt Family Theatre, Issaquah
120 Front St. N, Issaquah, WA 98027

For one night only, the Hunt Family Theatre turns into the most romantic room on the Eastside. The evening unfolds in two acts, one performer at a time — two 45-minute sets, each built from the musical theater songbook’s most romantic corners: the songs you know by heart, and a few you’ll wish you did. Cabaret, done the classic way: two performers, a few instruments, and a room small enough to feel every note.

Taking one of the two sets is Village Theatre favorite Bobbi Kotula — last seen belting through 9 to 5 and matchmaking her way through Hello, Dolly! — trading comedy for something softer. She’s joined by a mystery co-star; the announcement is coming soon, and it’s worth the wait.

Come for the songs, stay for the company — the perfect date, whether you’re bringing one or bringing yourself.

Why Village Theatre Presents?

Because great nights out shouldn’t be limited to the shows we produce ourselves. VT Presents lets us throw our doors open wider — bringing fresh energy and new kinds of performance to the Everett Performing Arts Center; welcoming audiences who may be meeting Village for the very first time; and giving our community more reasons, more often, to gather in a theatre and laugh until it hurts. Pick the night that sounds like the most fun and come as you are.
