Will I receive tickets for the show?
Individual tickets are not distributed for the school performances. Your Confirmation Contract acts as your proof of purchase. Each group has a seating assignment based on reservation date. Upon arrival, a representative from your group should check in the staff at the door. Ushers will then show students and chaperones to their seats. If it is necessary for your group to rearrange seats or use the restrooms, please wait until the entire group has been seated before moving about.
How many chaperones are recommended?
We leave the decision regarding student/chaperone ratio up to you. We have some groups attend with just teachers and others that have a one to one adult/child ratio. It really depends on your comfort level, school requirements, etc.
How early should we arrive for a performance?
Plan to arrive 20-30 minutes prior to your performance start time. We generally open “the house” (audience area) and begin seating 30 minutes prior to “curtain” or the top of the show.
Remember to verify the LOCATION, DATE & TIME of the performance on your contract and be sure that accurate information has been given to your district’s transportation department or parent drivers. Pied Piper has multiple locations for performances (including two different venues in Everett).
When is payment due for my reservation?
For reservations of 10+ seats, a School or District Purchase Order (OR deposit of 10% of your invoice total) is due at the time you confirm your reservation. A final invoice will be sent 30 days prior to the performance date and the final balance is due one (1) week prior to the performance. (Other arrangements can be made if special circumstances exist).
Reservations of fewer than 10 seats require payment in full at the time of confirmation.
How should payment be remitted?
- Payments may be made by check or credit/debit card.
- Checks should be mailed to: Village Theatre Pied Piper, 2710 Wetmore Avenue, Everett, WA 98201.
- Credit card payments should be made by phone at (425) 257-8600.
- Please do not bring payment to the theatre on the day of the show.
Is there somewhere for my students to eat lunch?
- There are a number of parks, with a variety of amenities, located near all of our venues. Download list
- There are NOT onsite eating areas at the venues. Please arrange to eat before or after the performance as no food or beverages are allowed inside the theatre.
- The exception is for our Village Theatre Mainstage productions. Because of the length of the performance, groups may bring snacks to eat in the lobby during intermission. Concessions are not sold during school performances.
Is it ok to take photographs at the performance?
You MAY take pictures of your students/group prior to and after the performance, but NO PHOTOGRAPHY is allowed during the performance. The Equity Actor’s Union does not allow any type of photography, video or audio recording inside the theatre. Please keep all cameras and recording devices (including cell phones) turned off and put away during the performance.
Text messaging and cell phone use are also prohibited during performances.
Where should buses drop students off?
Everett Civic Auditorium at Everett High School (2415 Colby Avenue): Busses may drop off students northbound on Colby Avenue in front of the main doors. Busses should pull forward and angle out toward the street. Busses may drop off students around the corner on 24th or on the Wetmore Ave. side of the building in the designated bus load areas. For student safety, there is No Bus loading/unloading on the west side of Colby (Main Campus Building side of the street).
Everett Performing Arts Center (2710 Wetmore Avenue): Busses drop off students on the east side of the building on Wetmore Ave. To facilitate drop off, busses are encouraged to proceed toward the south end of the block on Wetmore into the pullout, slightly past the Everett Performing Arts Center. Busses should keep the fire lane access alley directly in front of EPAC clear.
Meydenbauer Center (11100 NE 6th Street): Busses drop off students on NE 6th Street in front of the main doors (south side of the building). Busses should pull as far forward as possible, and students should proceed up the stairs to the theatre entrance. (Please do not use the Convention Center entrance). This area is a load/unload only, and busses may not stay parked here during the performance.
Where should we park?
Everett Civic Auditorium– Free 2-4 hour street parking is available in the neighborhoods surrounding Everett High School and the Civic Auditorium (please note, the school parking lot is reserved for Everett High School students and staff on weekdays). There are also pay-to-park lots just south of the Civic Auditorium on Wetmore and Colby Avenues.
Everett Performing Arts Center– Pay parking is available in Everett at the Port Gardner Garage on California Avenue, near the Everett Performing Arts Center (no attendant on duty, machine accepts Credit and Debit cards), The Everpark Garage on Hoyt Avenue (with a footpath to Colby Avenue, towards the Theatre), and various surface lots throughout the downtown area. (Please note: the free street parking surrounding EPAC is only 90 minutes, and heavily patrolled by parking enforcement).
Theatre at Meydenbauer in Bellevue– Pay parking is available in the Meydenbauer Center Garage, as well as other nearby overflow lots. You may find free parking within walking distance at the nearby mall or the library.
Francis J. Gaudette Theatre in Issaquah– Free street parking is available along Front Street, Rainier Boulevard, and the public lots by the historic Train Depot and the King County Library. Please keep in mind that parking can sometimes be challenging for all of the venues during high traffic periods. We advise allowing extra time to locate parking and walk to your destination.
What about inclement weather?
Whenever possible, the show must go on! In the event that there are major weather concerns, Pied Piper follows the Everett School District for Everett performances, Bellevue School District for Meydenbauer performances and Issaquah School District for FJG performances. If the School District which contains the venue cancels school due to weather, natural disaster or otherwise, the performances that day will be cancelled. In the event that there is a later start in the venue’s area district, the 10am Performance may be cancelled, but the noon would occur as scheduled. There may be instances where OTHER districts close, but the venue district is on schedule. If your district is closed or transportation is cancelled due to weather or natural disaster but the performance is not cancelled we will make arrangements to move your reservation to a future performance that is appropriate for your students. If that is not possible, we would cancel your reservation obligation.
