Production Managers oversee the entire production from hiring of the production team to striking the show. They collect and gather important paperwork, run production meetings, coordinate parent and student volunteers, organize and distribute marketing materials, and assist with flow of communication between production team members. Production managers are highly organized, knowledgeable about a wide range of theatre disciplines, proficient with Microsoft Office, and capable of seeing the big picture and being objective without missing the details.
Production Management interns should expect 20–40 hours per week of hands-on experiential learning during rehearsal times. Weekends and evenings required during tech week. The internship includes a small stipend to reimburse expenses.
