Let’s uplift the voices of global majority artists! Join us for FREE drop-in workshops open to all students and centered on global majority artists and topics. Students can attend one or all workshops, which are geared towards uplifting diverse perspectives and voices. These workshops are a wonderful way to express your voice and learn more about global majority artists in our community. Locations alternate between Issaquah and Everett, and workshops will be offered via Zoom in the opposite location. No experience necessary.

FREE Art Without Boundaries – Affinity Space

BIPOC students are invited to be in community or work towards a common project! Join us for this FREE drop-in affinity space. Before each of the Art Without Boundaries workshops, join KIDSTAGE in a space that is completely your own. Our theatre instructors will provide professional mentorship for students to create projects of their choosing. This space is designed to allow BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) theatre artists to create stories that reflect their own experiences and amplify their voices. The BIPOC affinity space will be curated to the needs and interests of the participants. No experience necessary.

Styles include tap, jazz, lyrical, musical theatre, hip hop, and more. Instructors will offer customized guidance for dancers of all levels, from beginner to advanced. Dance Essentials covers different dance styles and choreography each semester, so repeat enrollment is encouraged to build skills for KIDSTAGE productions and beyond. Need to refresh your audition skills? Going into your very first audition? Come and learn all the essentials of the auditioning world! This FREE workshop will teach students in grades 5 to 9 everything they need to know for a successful audition at school, KIDSTAGE, or beyond. At the start of the session, we’ll walk families through our upcoming KIDSTAGE programs and auditions, and answer questions. Then, we’ll guide students through the audition process and send them home with age-appropriate audition songs and monologues.
