In our Technical Theatre Program (TTP), students will explore theatre design and build process for sets, props, costumes, lights, and sound — all through a hands-on, experiential approach. Students accepted into the TTP program during the school year will enroll in the TTP Mentorship class. TTP students develop a customized learning plan and are provided with 10 hours of strong and consistent mentorship by theatre professionals per school year production. Most students start as Entry Level Apprentices, but the exact placement of each individual will be determined through the application and interview process based on experience and ability. During the school year, TTP students are assigned to a show. The mentorship schedule is 10 total hours, generally on Saturdays within the rehearsal schedule. There is some schedule flexibility to help students(s) the most in preparation to be successful in their technical theatre responsibilities.
