DISCOUNT OPPORTUNITIES:

Families registering for multiple classes receive a 10% discount. Not valid with any other offers or financial assistance. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify.

REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY

$50.00 of each tuition is non-refundable. The remainder of tuition is refundable up to, and including, the first day of camp. No refunds will be given after the second day. If KIDSTAGE has to cancel a class due to lack of enrollment, a full refund will be given.

STUDENT PERKS:

All KIDSTAGE students are eligible for half-price single student tickets to any Village Theatre Mainstage production on sale while enrolled. This discount applies to students only. Parents or siblings are welcome to attend at regular prices. To ensure the production is appropriate for your family, please consult the performance Preview Guide online.

Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo! Bring Elsa, Anna, Olaf and more favorite fairytale characters to life in this magical class featuring theatre games, creative storytelling, and crafts. Exploratory Acting classes provide literature-based drama activities that promote literacy comprehension, confidence, collaboration, and creativity.

Exploratory Acting – Magic Tree House (Grades 1st-2nd)
12:30-1:30 PM
Tuition: $165

Join Jack and Annie (from Mary Pope Osborne’s much-loved series) on their journeys through history. This camp uses historical figures and settings as a springboard for learning how to portray specific character traits. Exploratory Acting classes provide literature-based drama activities that promote literacy comprehension, confidence, collaboration, and creativity.

Fundamental Acting and Musical Theatre (Grades 1-5)

Create your own epic stories with legendary characters. Work with theatrical text to determine plot points, character goals and tactics, and then write epic scenes with brand-new characters from your own imagination. Students will expand valuable life skills such as ensemble building, self-confidence, and problem-solving while developing their capacities as actor/creators and collaborators in an atmosphere that encourages fun, commitment, and taking creative risks in a safe environment.

Musical Theatre – Frozen Adventures (Grades 1st-2nd)
1:30-2:30 PM

Acting – Actor’s Toolkit II (Grades 6th-9th)

Take your acting chops to the next level. Develop your personal actor's toolkit of imagination, facial expressions, voice, gesture, and body language. Delve into theatrical movement, vocal exercises, techniques to fine tune your concentration, while expanding and supportingyour imagination. Students will learn valuable life skills such as ensemble building, self-confidence, and problem-solving while developing their capacities as actor/creators and collaborators in an atmosphere that encourages fun, commitment, and taking creative risks in a safe environment.

Musical Theatre – Newsies (Grades 6th-9th)
2:30-4:00PM
Tuition: $230

Sing and dance to your favorite songs from Disney’s Newsies and prepare for KIDSTAGE’s SummerStock auditions in May 2020. New and returning students will enjoy this fun and challenging class that has an emphasis on performance technique and musical theatre skills.

Singing for Musical Theatre – Composer Spotlight: Lin-Manuel Miranda (Grades 6th-9th)
11:00 AM-12:30 PM
Tuition: $230

The man, the myth, the legend: Lin-Manuel Miranda has composed/created some of the most unique contemporary musicals of our time including Hamilton, Moana, In the Heights, and Bring It On. Sing your favorite songs and expand your vocal range, fine-tune your ears, and strengthen your breathing, all in a small class. (This class does not take the place of individual voice lessons, which should be taken privately, year-round, for serious singers.)

Singing for Musical Theatre – Teen Rebels (Grades 8th-12th)
12:30-2:00 PM
Tuition: $230

Mean Girls, Dear Evan Hansen, Heathers and more will inspire this fetch singing technique class. Areas covered include vocal technique, music theory, breath control, rhythm, melody, sight-reading, and acting through song. Students expand their vocal range, fine-tune their ears, strengthen breathing, and learn new music, all in a small class. (This class does not take the place of individual voice lessons, which should be taken privately, year-round, for serious singers.)

Saturday Morning Dance Classes (Grades 4th-Age 20)

Dance: Tap Beginning-Advanced (Grades 4th-Age 20)

Winter & Spring commitment (January 11 - March 14 and April 11 - May 16). Tap is an essential skill for all musical theatre performers. Students will be placed in groups by skill level on the first day, and will work on fundamental techniques, rhythm, flexibility, coordination, and style. We recommend buying tap shoes at Petticoat Junction in Lynnwood. We have used tap shoes to share – financial circumstances should not be a barrier to participate.

Dance: Jazz Beginning-Advanced (Grades 4th-Age 20)
11:00 AM-12:15 PM

Tuition: $320
