Families registering for multiple classes receive a 10% discount. Not valid with any other offers. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify.

REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY

$50.00 of each tuition is non-refundable. The remainder of tuition is refundable up to, and including, the first day of class. No refunds will be given after the second class meets. If KIDSTAGE has to cancel a class due to lack of enrollment, a full refund will be given.

STUDENT PERKS:

All KIDSTAGE students are eligible for half-price single student tickets to any Village Theatre Mainstage production on sale while enrolled. This discount applies to students only. Parents or siblings are welcome to attend at regular prices. To ensure the production is appropriate for your family, please consult the performance Preview Guide online.


Note: New students—even those with no experience in musical theatre--are welcome to start by taking ANY class at their grade level. There are no pre-requisites, with the exception of Advanced Tap.

“Salutations!” Let's create (and act out!) new stories inspired by our favorite farm friends, Fern, Wilbur the pig, Charlotte the spider, Templeton the rat, and more from E.B. "To infinity, and beyond!" Develop new space-adventure stories and heroic characters using our limitless imaginations. Begin working with theatrical text as a team to determine plot points, character goals and tactics. Students will expand valuable life skills such as ensemble building, self-confidence, and problem-solving, while developing their capacities as actors, creators and collaborators in an atmosphere that encourages fun, commitment, and taking creative risks in a safe environment.

Musical Theatre: This is Me (Grades 1st-2nd)

"Look out 'cause here I come!" Let's celebrate our bravery and originality as we sing and dance to our favorite songs from The Greatest Showman, Mulan, and other stories that celebrate our unique selves. Musical Theatre: Movie Musicals (Grades 3rd-5th)

Musical Theatre: Mainstage Pass: Matilda (Grades 3rd-5th)
Saturday, January 12-March 16, 12:15-1:15PM
Tuition: $195*

Get up close and personal with Village Theatre’s Mainstage production of Matilda! Learn songs and dances from Matilda the Musical (based on the spectacular Roald Dahl book and 90s movie) and other magical musicals AND get the chance to see the professional production and meet the cast of Matilda on January 26th.

*The tuition for this class includes a ticket for the participating student to see the matinee showing of Matilda at 2pm on Saturday, January 26th at the Everett Performing Arts Center (just across the plaza from KIDSTAGE), along with the opportunity to meet the cast. The students will be chaperoned by KIDSTAGE staff, before and during the show. Guardians & friends are welcome to attend the matinee with the class but must purchase their own ticket (seats might be separate from the group) from the box office (425-257-8600). Pick-up time on January 26th will be 5:00pm.

Musical Theatre: Willy Wonka (Grades 3rd-5th)

Actor's Toolkit: Movement & Voice (Grades 6th-9th)

Develop your personal actor's toolkit of imagination, facial expressions, voice, gesture, and body language. Delve into theatrical movement, vocal exercises to help you protect and project your voice, techniques to fine tune your concentration, and expand and support your imagination.

Musical Theatre: Rise Up! (Grades 6th-9th)

"Rise Up" and "Seize the Day!" The lyrical talent of Lin-Manuel Miranda (and other musical geniuses) is coming to life in this class, covering songs of rebellion and revolution. This is a fun and challenging class with an emphasis on performance technique and musical theatre skills.

Singing for Musical Theatre: Broadway Classics (Grades 6th-age 20)
Saturday, January 12-March 16, 9:30-11:00AM
Tuition: $225

Continue to advance your singing and storytelling skills. Winter quarter will feature songs from Broadway classics like West Side Story, Peter Pan, Guys & Dolls, and The Music Man. Areas covered include vocal technique, music theory, breath control, rhythm, melody, sight-reading, and acting through song. Students expand their vocal range, fine-tune their ears, strengthen breathing, and learn new music, all in a small-sized class. (This class does not take the place of individual voice lessons, which should be taken privately, year-round, for serious singers.)

Singing for Musical Theatre: The Greatest Showman (Grades 6th-age 20)
Saturday, January 12-March 16, 11:00AM-12:30PM

World of Dance Workout (Grades 6th-12th)

Explore a wide variety of dance styles from all over the world with high energy/cardio combinations. Unlike a traditional dance class, this class jumps right into executing new combinations rather than breaking down technique. This style of teaching/learning can help students develop their focus, thereby improving their ability to pick up on choreography faster. In addition, students will increase their physical strength and stamina. Each class will end with a thorough cool-down and stretching.

Advanced Tap (Grades 7th-age 20)
