When: Sunday, April 16, 2023 at 3 PM
The collection of music for this Everett Chorale concert is about how music comes along with us as we journey through all aspects of our lives. Songs bring back special memories and feelings and our own personal “soundtracks” accompany major events through our experiences.
Celebratory and reflective songs from Scotland, Brazil, Lithuania, Estonia and other countries highlight special events and traditions. We will also focus on the Shaker and folk song traditions from the United States with the Shaker Songs arrangements by Kevin Siegfried and a beautiful arrangement of Amazing Grace by John Rutter.
When: Sunday, June 11, 2023 at 3 PM
A musical dedication to those we have lost and a look ahead to happier times. Featuring a new work, contemporary composer Clif Hardin’s Requiem, along with John Rutter’s Requiem, this same program will be sung by an ensemble joining other choruses from across the nation in Carnegie Hall, New York City, in May. The chorale will be joined by outstanding musicians from the Everett Philharmonic.
