A KIDSTAGE Company Originals Production

In the wake of WWII, one small town in Georgia is preparing for their first Debutante Ball since the war. But war-time has changed even this most traditional Southern Society, bringing new prejudices and class conflict to life. Sincerely, Yours is a bold new musical centered around three young debutantes: the old-wealth traditionalist, the new-money dreamer, and a childhood friend who just returned from a Japanese Internment Camp. Written by teens with professional mentorship and featuring an upbeat score of contemporary/jazz music, join us for a reading of this new work as the writers complete their initial script and put it in front of an audience for the first time.

  • About KIDSTAGE Company Originals

KIDSTAGE Company Originals is a program where students create their own musical with guidance of professional writers and composers. The emphasis is on the performer/writer/composer.

The program and schedule will take various shapes from year to year depending on the writing and teaching artists we commission. There will typically be two ways to be involved: as writers and composers and/or as actors and creators. The schedule and tuition differs depending on program location, year, Institute status, and involvement as writer/composer or actor/creator. Writer/composers typically meet 2-3 days a week for up to six months. Actor/creators typically meet 2-3 days a week for up to three months.

There is a tuition for this program. All participants will meet more frequently leading up to the final staged readings (or workshop productions) which will take place in spring.
